PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Specialist for Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Applications

Hastelloy B-3 is the latest evolution in the "B" series alloys, specifically engineered to handle extreme concentrations of hydrochloric acid at all temperatures. It represents a significant technological leap in thermal stability over its predecessor, B-2.

  • HCl Specialist: Unmatched resistance to hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid, and sulfuric acid in reducing environments.

  • Enhanced Thermal Stability: The sophisticated micro-structure of B-3 prevents the formation of brittle intermetallic phases during processing, making it easier to fabricate and weld than earlier B-series alloys.

  • Pitting Resistance: While primarily for reducing acids, it maintains good resistance to stress-corrosion cracking.

  • Core Applications: Critical for chemical plants involved in acid catalysis, pesticide production, and high-temperature HCl synthesis units.

3. Application & Corrosion Resistance Guide

Each grade is optimized for specific industrial challenges. Choosing the right one ensures longevity and safety.

  • Hastelloy C-276: The "Workhorse." Best for mixed acid environments, flue gas desulfurization (FGD), and pulp/paper production.

  • Hastelloy C-22: Superior resistance to oxidizing aqueous media and better thermal stability during welding than C-276.

  • Hastelloy B-3: Specifically engineered for Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) at all concentrations and temperatures. It has improved thermal stability over B-2.

  • Hastelloy X: Known for excellent oxidation resistance and strength at high temperatures (up to 1200°C). Ideal for gas turbines and furnace parts.

  • Hastelloy C-2000: The most versatile alloy for mixed acid systems containing both oxidizing and reducing agents.

packaging and shipping

Adopting a professional industrial packaging solution that is moisture-proof and scratch resistant, each batch of steel is tied and fixed with customized wooden frames/steel strips, combined with anti rust coatings and cushioning pads to ensure zero damage during transportation. Clear product model, batch number, and storage identification on the outer packaging, supporting customized enterprise logos and information labels. Environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging materials practice green concepts, reducing transportation and disassembly costs.
